Sky+ Planner Rebuild
Your Sky+ box might be simple to use but under the hood there’s some complex stuff going on.
Through the normal operation of your Sky+ box, over time it is possible for the information on your Sky+ boxes hard drive to become out of sync with the true values. This can lead to issues with Live Pause, Recordings & Series Links among other things.
A Sky+ Planner Rebuild is an automated, non-destructive process which performs several housekeeping operations in order to fix issues with the information on your Sky+ boxes hard drive. Your recordings and series links will be safe when performing a Sky+ Planner Rebuild and will not be deleted.
If your experiencing issues with Live Pause, Recordings or Series Links then a Sky+ Planner Rebuild is the first step to try to fix these and other issue you may be experiencing. It is also recommended to periodically perform a Planner Rebuild in order to help prevent issues from occurring.

Help Selecting your Sky Box
Sky Q is the latest TV service from Sky and includes Fluid Viewing™ enabling you to watch recordings in different rooms.
Sky+HD boxes are black in colour and are able to record programs and download content from OnDemand.
On your Sky box go to Services > Settings > System Details, if your boxes “Version Number” starts with either 4F31, 4F30, 9F30, 9730 or 4E30 then this is the option for you.
SkyHD boxes are able to view HD channels but do NOT have the ability to record and pause channels or download programs from OnDemand.
On your Sky box go to: Settings > System Details, if your boxes “Version Number” begins with 4F70 then this is the option for you.
This option includes both white recordable Sky+ boxes, as well as all older Standard Definition Sky Boxes which are unable to record channels.
If your Sky Box doesn’t look like the three images bellow to the left, then this is probably the option for you. (Your box still might look different to the image shown directly bellow)
